Handwork Teacher for 2018-19 School Year

We are seeking a part-time handwork teacher for the 2018-19 school year. If selected, you will be joining in an innovative
learning community of teachers, parents, and administrators.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher), demonstrated expertise in handicrafts, at least two years of experience teaching children in a group lesson setting, ability to manage a classroom of elementary and middle school students, willingness to learn on the job, and a passionate love for the arts and teaching.

Possession of a teaching certificate in Waldorf education is preferred. We offer a competitive hourly rate.

The Position
The instructor will teach two 45-minute class periods per week, grades 1-7. Each class will contain approximately 12-16 students. Strong support and guidance will be given throughout. Depending on demand and availability, the instructor may have the opportunity to take on private students.
