GOVERNANCE

The Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the school, responsible for stewarding its mission and resources to ensure long-term health and vitality. Through thoughtful governance, the Board upholds legal and financial integrity, supports strategic direction, and works in conscious partnership with the school’s leadership and faculty.

The six core areas of board responsibility include:

  1. All School Governance
Stewarding the clear, consistent, and mission-aligned work of the organization

  2. Administrative and Operations Oversight
Ensuring strong, well-functioning systems that support the school’s operations and pedagogical work.

  3. Community Development
Cultivating meaningful relationships and leading mutual work within the school’s inner and outer community.

  4. Long-Range Planning and Sustainability
Guiding the healthy growth, resilience, and development of the school into the future.

  5. Board Development
Strengthening and managing the healthy growth and development of the board.

  6. Resource Development and Philanthropy
Leading and ensuring participation in the cultivation of annual and long-term capital.
